How embarrassing must this have been!
A 40-year-old man had become wedged inside the middle portion of a tube slide at Northeast Elementary School. The Town of Vernon Fire Department, along with Vernon EMS and Police, arrived on the scene just after 4:30pm on Saturday. Photos show the man was stuck feet and head first, with his body folded at the waist. After a 30-minute operation, the man was freed. He refused any medical treatment or transport to the hospital. The cause of the incident is still unclear. The lesson here: leave playground stuff to the little people it was made for.
