An 83-year-old woman in South Memphis was spared eviction after officials, deputies, and neighbors intervened when movers began placing her belongings on the curb.
A court injunction confirmed she had paid her taxes, allowing deputies to halt the process.
Community members and off-duty deputies then worked together to put her possessions back inside the house, ensuring she could remain in her home that night.
