After a homeowners association in Severance, Colorado, reversed an earlier decision, a 30-foot inflatable Santa Claus will now be able to remain standing through Christmas.
The decoration went up earlier this month, but the HOA’s management company initially warned the homeowner about a rule against excessive displays and possible fines.
After the issue went viral and drew support from residents across northern Colorado, HOA leaders apologized, called the enforcement a mistake, and allowed Santa to stay for the rest of the holiday season.
