Tiny Drummer With a Mighty Heart Takes the Grand Ole Opry Stage

A little boy who once fought for his life is now making music on one of the world’s most iconic stages.

Three‑year‑old Remi Steinert, born with a serious heart defect and soothed as an infant by Elvis songs, became the youngest known musician to play the Grand Ole Opry after a viral drumming video won him the chance to perform “Little Drummer Boy” with For King + Country.

For his parents, seeing him on that stage was a breathtaking reminder of how far he’s come and how much he’s already overcome.
