Abandoned at Vegas Airport, Goldendoodle Finds New Home With Police Officer

A two‑year‑old goldendoodle abandoned at Harry Reid International Airport after his owner was denied boarding without service‑dog paperwork has been adopted by Las Vegas police officer Skeeter Black.

The woman allegedly tied the dog to a baggage sizer and walked to her gate before being arrested for animal abandonment and resisting arrest. The dog—now named Jet Blue—was taken in by Retriever Rescue of Las Vegas, where Officer Black and his family were already approved adopters.

Photos shared by police show Jet Blue settling into his new home, with the department celebrating his “new life where he’ll be loved beyond words.”
