Isaiah's Letter - Christmas Wish 2023

Dear Mark,

Please allow me to introduce my sweet friend, Isaiah, fondly known as “Peanut” to his nurses. Isaiah is the happiest, funniest, and kindest 3-year-old. Shortly before his 3rd birthday in August, Isaiah’s family was given the devastating news that their sweet boy was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma. Isaiah has endured several rounds of chemotherapy, surgeries, blood transfusions, and countless side effects that unfortunately accompany this horrible disease. Has any of this stopped his sweet spirit? Absolutely not! Isaiah comes to every treatment with a smile on his face, a hug for all his nurses, and a bag of Doritos.

Isaiah’s family has made many sacrifices over the years due to Isaiah’s sibling having a chronic illness. The challenges have only multiplied with Isaiah’s diagnosis. His family has handled all of these challenges with strength and love. Isaiah’s mother says “This journey has changed our lives and routine tremendously. Isaiah is a champ and still remains a happy baby.” Being the baby of the bunch doesn’t stop Isaiah from keeping up with his older siblings! Isaiah keeps his siblings on their toes with his energetic and silly antics.

This family is so grateful to have been chosen as one of the wish list families! Isaiah loves cars, hats, bubbles, CoCo Melon, Paw Patrol, and Blippi. Isaiah would also love some new clothes (size 3T) and shoes (size 11c). He has specifically asked for a remote-control car for Christmas! His brother Gabriel is hoping for a new phone and would appreciate some new shoes (size 11 men) and clothes (size 18). His sister, Miracle, loves anything LOL Doll, Roblox, or Baby doll themed. Miracle is a size 1 shoe and size 7/8 in clothes. His second brother, Ishmael, also loves remote control cars. Ishmael is a size 5 in clothes and a size 12c in shoes. Isaiah’s Mom mentioned she would like some cozy boots (size 9), a jacket (size 2 x), or some jeans (size 18). Isaiah’s family didn’t ask for much but gift cards are always appreciated especially with longer clinic weeks. The family shops at Walmart, Target, and TJ Maxx. They like to eat at Chili’s, Longhorn’s, Jalapeno’s, and Top Crab. Isaiah’s treatment requires him to have multiple clinic visits in a week so gas cards are also welcome to help with the cost of travel. I know the family would appreciate anything to help during these difficult months ahead!

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much to the listeners of 98.7 and Mark for making our families’ Christmas wishes come true! This community is unmatched and we are so lucky to have each and every one of you! Thank you for giving our “Peanut” the best Christmas ever!!!

Sincerely,

Peyton Winters
