It's not a new scam, but apparently it keeps happening, so shoppers need to be aware.
A viral TikTok shows a Walmart employee calling out customers at the register, accusing them of running a scam. They ask shoppers for help to buy formula and diapers for their baby, but they come back later and return the items for cash.
And it's not just Walmarts. Target too. And probably more.
We've heard experts say not to give someone money, but to buy what they need instead.
Looks like this scam is a way to end up with the cash anyway.
