BEAUFORT, S.C. (WSAV) — Firefighters were on the scene fighting a complex fire on Trask Parkway for three hours Thursday.
The Burton Fire District (BFD), MCAS Fire and Emergency Services, Beaufort Port
Royal Fire Department and Beaufort County EMS responded to a building fire at
Greenline Industries on Trask Parkway after receiving a call at noon.
The caller was an employee who reported the fire and said the employees were evacuating the building, Burton Fire said. No injuries were reported, they said.

When firefighters arrived on the scene, BFD said they saw smoke coming from the top of an outdoor sawdust collector. The firefighters climbed the collector, located the fire and began using a firehose to extinguish the fire.
They determined that due to the tower being deep-seated with sawdust, they needed more water, and they were able to use Beaufort Port Royal Fire's ladder truck to apply more water into the tower.
BFD said that the fire was caused by a stray welding spark from work being performed on the tower and that employees used fire extinguishers to keep the fire confined until firefighters arrived which helped limit damages.
