6-year-old makes one of the largest donations to the Humane Society

Instead of birthday presents...this six year old decided to make one of the largest donations to the Fairfield Area Humane Society. A month before her birthday, Violet Waits told her parents that she wanted her birthday party guests to bring donations for the Humane Society. Her parents decided to help spread the word through Facebook and even collected additional donations at their home for a whole week after Violet's party. In total, Violet's donation exceeded 300 pounds of dog food and 100 pounds of cat food!!!
