Spending the last few years out of the spotlight,Ed Sheeran has officially returned with his new single, “Bad Habits.” In the video, he depicts an alter-ego vampire character with bleached white hair and fangs.
Sheeran commented on how it’s totally different than anything he’s ever released and said: “I wanted the video for “Bad Habits” to play on the nature of habits in a fantastical way, so I decided on vampires. It was mega fun getting into character except for the heights…that wasn’t so fun.”
Sheeran is set for a week-long residency on The Late Late Show with James Corden, starting today, June 28. He’ll perform live in-studio, chat with Corden, and will be featured in the show’s comedy segments throughout the week.
Sheeran’snew single, “Bad Habits” caught the attention of Taylor Swift this past weekend and she used social media to gush about it.
Along with a clip of the video, she wrote: “Ed has a new song out and I legitimately cannot get it out of my head! And this VIDEO!!”
Following her Twitter post, she also praised him on Instagram and commented: "It's Ed and it's glitter so it's a yes for me."
In the video, Sheeran turns into a flying vampire. It’s his first official release since 2019'sNo. 6 Collaborations Project.
