On June 16 Gayla Thompson sat in the front seat of a Jeep stuck in heavy traffic in Nashville, en route to the hospital. Gayla was extremely pregnant and in the middle of contractions — and soon-to-be-born Carson Thompson wasn’t going to wait. And so dad Ryan — a UPS driver — helped to deliver Carson on the side of the road. Carson’s older brother, Connor, was born five years ago the usual way — in a hospital.
