A Louisiana man learned the hard way that it’s hard to scam a Tesla owner. Arthur Bates Jr. told police officers that his back, leg and neck were injured after a Tesla backed into him during a hit and run incident on Friday (Sept 3). Police caught up to the driver who was able to provide footage from the car’s rear camera showing that Bates intentionally jumped behind the vehicle and staged the accident. Bates was arrested for filing a false report.
