The mysterious disappearance and death of 22-year-old Long Island native Gabby Petito continues to captivate the nation’s attention as the search for her boyfriend Brian Laundrie continues. Petito and Laundrie went on a cross-country trip in July, but only Laundrie returned home — and in Petito’s 2012 Ford Transit van. Laundrie has been missing since Tuesday last week, according to his parents.
… Dog the Bounty Hunter is now on the case. He arrived at Laundrie’s parents’ North Port, Florida home on Saturday and knocked on the door, but nobody answered. Dog said, “The reason I went to [the house] is I carry a reputation with me. The reputation is, ‘He gives you a second chance. He’s gonna get you, but he gives you a second chance.'”
Note to Dog: You don’t get to give second chances to someone who’s a suspect in the disappearance of another person. If you track him and find him you can only turn him over to authorities — after that you’ll be asked to check out.
… He added that he knows exactly what Petito’s parents feel like, because he lost a daughter around the same age as Petito in a car accident in 2006.
