We’ve seen some incredible things happen in sports after an athlete loses a loved one. One of the latest examples of this comes out of Red Bank Catholic in New Jersey. Alex Brown, the quarterback for Red Bank, had just lost his mother to a 14-year battle with breast cancer the day before his big game last Friday night. As a high schooler, there’s no telling how a teenager would respond to such a horrible situation. Many would probably not even play the game. However, Brown decided to take this opportunity to play for his late mother, and needless to say, he went OFF. He proceeded to score eight touchdowns in a 58-34 win over Morris Catholic. He tweeted after the game: “Yesterday I lost my amazing mother. Today I scored 8 touchdowns, thank you for watching over me mama.”
