A woman named Olivia Crump posted on TikTok about how she was stuck inside her apartment in Milledgeville, Georgia, after she awoke one morning to find the stairs leading down to the ground were gone. She also shared a screenshot of an email that contained a photo of the missing stairs, which she seems to have sent to her building management with the subject line “A princess trapped in her tower.” Crump told the Daily Dot that the whole thing lasted about four hours, and with no way to get outside, her dog almost had an accident in the apartment. She also says the apartment complex didn’t notify tenants beforehand, and she only found out from her neighbor once the stairs were already gone. Commenters noted the situation was a fire hazard, and could result in “hefty, hefty fines.”
