90210 ACTRESS GETS BACKLASH FOR A POEM ABOUT PUTIN. SEE WHAT YOU THINK

 Some actress named AnnaLynne McCord dropped a video on Twitter Thursday morning — and it backfired. The 34-year-old 90210 actress and model shared a spoken word poem following the news of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, and her words are generating a lot of backlash. It began: “Dear President Vladimir Putin, I’m so sorry that I was not your mother. If I was a mother, you would have been so loved, held in the arms of joyous light. Never would this story’s plight, the world unfurled before our eyes, a pure demise of nation sitting peaceful under the night sky. If I was your mother, the world would have been warm.” … Comments were fast and harsh, with many comparing the video to actress Gal Gadot’s Imagine video. In March 2020, Gadot and a number of other celebrities, including her Wonder Woman 1984 co-star Kristen Wiig, performed an online version of the song Imagine by John Lennon, intended to raise morale during the pandemic. The video received backlash with critics dismissing it as an ineffective response to the pandemic.
