NASCAR team owner Richard Childress has long been known for providing rides for some of the best drivers in the sport, from the legendary Dale Earnhardt to future Hall of Famer Kevin Harvick. But Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky doesn’t need a ride. He needs ammo. At least that was Zelensky’s response to an offer from the United States to evacuate the president to a secure location amidst his country’s ongoing fight against the Russian invasion.
… So instead of offering Zelensky a ride, Childress decided to step up and help get Zelensky what he really needs. Childress, who sits on the Board of Directors for ammunition manufacturer AMMO Inc., says the company would be donating a million rounds of ammunition to Ukraine to help them defend themselves from the ongoing invasion from Russia.
