Here’s the deal with engagement rings: When you and your man start talking marriage, start dropping very strong hints about the ring you want. Be kind and keep keep his budget in mind, but if you’re dead-set on a specific style than let him know and figure out how you can pay for it together.
… Why? A woman on TikTok showed off a very nice engagement ring — and shared it wasn’t the style she wanted. It really bummed her out. So after she got married she leveled with her man and he said — ready for this? — it wasn’t a big deal. They returned the ring and they shopped for the one she really wanted.
… Yeah, commenters gave her trouble for not appreciating the ring she got, but it goes to show that we silly, stupid, flawed humans have specific wants an desires — and when it comes to engagement rings, women have an idea of what they want. And that’s OK because to men — IT’S NOT A BIG DEAL
