WATCH! The Cubs' Marcus Stroman absolutely makes the day of this young fan.

We sometimes forget how much many kids look up to their favorite athletes.

This week Chicago Cubs starter Marcus Stroman who is excellent with young people--the children adore him and he always finds time for his fans--was in the middle of a very cool moment with a young fan at the Rogers Centre, home of the Toronto Blue Jays. (The Cubs, Stroman’s current team, visit the Jays, who are his former team.) That's when cameras spotted a young fan holding a sign.

When Stroman approached the child and his family, the young fan was crying, extremely excited to meet one of his heroes. Stroman took the time to chat with the boy and his family with a big smile on his face. The fan was definitely overwhelmed that one of his idols was standing next to him and talking to him. He signed the poster the boy made, signed his shirt and a ball for him.

It’s one of those memories that will last forever.

What made this so much more special is that the boy and his family came to Toronto from Great Britain.

Some players have realized that sharing a photo, signing a shirt or ball, or just chatting with a fan is commonplace for them, but it could be a life-changing moment for the person on the other side.

Stroman is one of those players. Here's the video and below that is the Tweet posted by his mom:
