Christopher Peck of California’s Riverside County Animal Services was at home on standby duty when he got a call about a kitten who got stuck in a pipe. Peck grabbed a pipe-cutting tool and rushed to the scene, along with fellow animal rescuers. The portion of the pipe containing the kitten was cut out and taken to a nearby shelter where veterinarians helped freed the very wet kitten from the pipe and checked him out. Now named Piper, the kitten is available for adoption from Western Riverside County/City Animal Shelter.
