Conservation officers responded to a Canada Goose in distress. The goose was frozen to wet sand at Lake Michigan beach. The officers got some help from volunteer firefighters to assist with freeing the goose. "The bird was then transported to a local licensed wildlife rehabilitation and veterinarian's facility for treatment," the post said.
