An 82-year-old Walmart cashier worked his last shift on Wednesday, thanks to a TikToker who helped raise more than $100,000 for the grandfather and U.S. Navy veteran. Butch Marion of Cumberland, Maryland, was finally able to retire after receiving a check for $108,682 in online donations from GoFundMe. The fundraiser was organized by Rory McCarty, whose posts about Marion, a widower, went viral on TikTok.
… McCarty, who owns an extermination business called Bug Boys, has developed a following on TikTok with videos that show him ridding homes of creepy crawlies. His initial post introducing Marion, shared on December 16, picked up almost 3½ million views.
