In Kansas City, a 4-month-old dog named BonBon managed to climb into a car’s engine compartment and take a 30-mile ride with its driver, Ashley Newman, who had no idea the puppy was there. Upon arriving at work, Newman heard whimpering coming from her car and discovered the stowaway. She enlisted the help of her coworkers to free BonBon. The puppy was then brought to the Kansas City Pet Project, a nonprofit specializing in animal care, while Newman searched Facebook for anyone missing a dog. She soon found a post about a missing pup that matched BonBon’s description and reunited the dog with its owner.
