A Southern California mother lost an engagement ring when her child flushed the piece of jewelry down the toilet.
John and Yana Glass were unable to recover the ring, and plumbers said they'd be unable to dislodge it without causing damage to the home.
Now, nearly 14 months later, the ring turned up 400 feet away from the Glass home during routine sewer maintenance. Chino Hills Public Works worker Tony Ochoa remembered the couple had lost their ring the previous year. It was thoroughly cleaned, then returned to the couple.
"I am so, so grateful to the guys for remembering about us," Yana Glass said.
