In a heartwarming tribute to love, Lee Wilson, a local farmer, decided to sow a different kind of crop this season – a vast expanse of sunflowers stretching as far as the eye can see. The reason behind this grand gesture? Celebrating his and his wife Renee's 50th wedding anniversary on August 10th. The idea struck Lee as he pondered what gift could truly express his love for Renee on this momentous occasion. "She always liked sunflowers," Lee shared with a smile. An astounding 1.2 million sunflowers, to be precise – an average of 15,000 flowers per acre. Lee, with the help of his son, secretly planted the field back in May, ensuring it would be a delightful surprise for Renee.
