A tourist who attempted to snap a selfie with a monkey in Indonesia shared video of the moment the small but sneaky primate stole her purse.
Jovita Coppage said she was visiting the Ubud Monkey Forest in Bali when she attempted to take a selfie with a seemingly friendly monkey.
A video recorded by Coppage's sister shows the monkey reaching out and taking the purse out of Coppage's hands.
Coppage initially tries to take the purse back, but takes a step back when the animal aggressively shows its teeth.
Coppage eventually quickly grabbed the purse and pulled it free of the monkey's grasp.
Coppage said in an Instagram post that she was more concerned about the contents of the bag than the purse itself.
"From now on if I get asked if I'm a critical thinker, I'm going to show them this video," she wrote.
