In Florida, a scuba diver from Under Pressure Divers named Tazz Felde, along with his fellow diver Dan, responded to a report of a nurse shark hooked to a reef near Destin.
They located the 6-to-7-foot nurse shark with a big hook in its mouth, attached to a steel leader and a 120-pound test line connected to the reef.
Dan filmed the rescue while Felde cut through the steel leader, freeing the shark. Unfortunately, the shark swam away before Felde could remove the hook, which he hopes will eventually rust out and come free.
Additionally, the divers took the initiative to clear over a hundred feet of tangled fishing line from the area to protect other sea creatures from getting entangled.
