Matthew Perry said that when he died he didn't want "Friends" to be the first thing people mentioned. He said he wanted to be remembered for helping others who suffered from addiction, like himself. Perry was found dead on Saturday aged 54.
There is a report that he was found unresponsive in his hot tub.
One account indicates he played pickleball this morning and upon returning home asked an assistant to run some errands. That person returned to find him unresponsive and called 911.
Preliminary reports indicate no foul play, but the police say their investigation will continue.
Ironically it was six days ago that Matthew posted a moody picture on his Instagram account of the night sky around him as he relaxed in his hot tub wearing headphones..
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... authorities found anti-depressants, anti-anxiety drugs and a COPD drug in the house. COPD is short for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease -- that drug is often used for people who have emphysema or chronic bronchitis. Matthew was a smoker during his life. The L.A. County Coroner will conduct a toxicology exam to determine if any drugs were in Perry's system, but that could take awhile.
