Ohio woman charged $1000 for 3 Subway subs and now she can't feed her famiy

Letitia Bishop experienced a shocking financial loss of a thousand dollars due to a Subway sandwich purchase. Despite expecting to buy three subs for a modest sum, her account was charged $1,010 instead. This unexpected charge to her debit card turned her routine meal at a Subway located inside a Thorntons gas station in Ohio into a distressing ordeal.

… Efforts to resolve the issue directly with Subway and through her bank have been unsuccessful, leaving Bishop feeling overwhelmed and financially strained. Lee Anne Lanigan of the Better Business Bureau suggested Bishop could file a complaint with the Connecticut Business Bureau, where Subway is an accredited business, and consider reporting the incident as theft. Lanigan also recommended using credit cards for purchases due to the greater protection they offer against such incidents. … You might recall back in November a woman in Atlanta was shocked to discover that she was charged over $7,000 for a Subway Italian sub on her credit card. Vera Conner had ordered her regular #4 from the Subway and expected the charge to be around $7.54, but instead, she was billed $7,112.98. Conner believes that while trying to enter her phone number to collect her rewards points, the screen changed to tip and she accidentally entered the large amount. She reached out to the Subway store manager and her credit card company, but at the time was unsuccessful in getting the charge reversed. Bank of America, her credit card issuer, contacted both the Subway franchise and its corporate offices. Subway responded by saying they were aware of the dispute and that a chargeback was in progress.
