DEAD MAN’S ROOMMATES DROVE BODY TO WITHDRAW MONEY FROM HIS BANK ACCOUNT

In a shocking incident out of Ashtabula, Ohio, two roommates, Loreen B. Feralo, 55, and Karen Kasbohm, 63, were charged with abusing a corpse. The charges came after they allegedly propped up their deceased roommate’s body to withdraw money from his bank account. Police detailed how the pair, along with an unnamed accomplice, positioned the dead man’s body in his car and drove to the bank to conduct the withdrawal through a drive-thru teller window. This morbid act was discovered after they left the man’s body at a medical center without providing any information about him. The deceased was later identified as 80-year-old Douglas Layman. The bizarre case came to light when the suspects returned to Layman’s home and confessed to the bank visit to the officers.
