Two New York City transit police officers jumped down onto the subway rails to rescue an unconscious man who had fallen onto the tracks in Brooklyn, as shown in footage released on March 21. The incident, which took place on March 16, was captured by the officers’ body cameras in the Nostrand Avenue subway station. According to the NYPD, the officers maneuvered through two third rails and managed to stop the incoming train to rescue the unconscious man “without hesitation.” The NYPD Chief of Transit wrote on X “Another example of the courageous and life-saving work NYPD cops do every single day on behalf of NYers.”
