Firefighters in Riverside County, California, successfully hoisted a horse from the Santa Ana River.
The horse, named Conquistador, had been stuck for almost a full day. The horse had apparently gotten spooked and ran into the river.
The horse was too tired to move, and emergency teams worked to get him unstuck from the mud. He was then air-lifted using a sheriff's office helicopter.
"I'm happy, I'm glad he's OK. He's a beautiful horse, he dances, he's well taken care of and loved so, I'm glad he's OK," rider Diana Solis said.
