WNBA'S CAITLIN CLARK MAKES A MEMORABLE APPEARANCE ON SNL'S WEEKEND UPDATE

Caitlin Clark made a surprise appearance on Saturday Night Live that left audiences cheering and laughing. The University of Iowa standout didn’t just show off her basketball skills but also her comedic chops as she took on Weekend Update co-host Michael Che.

… In a witty back-and-forth, Clark cleverly roasted Che for his past jokes about women’s basketball. And Clark took a moment to honor the trailblazing women who paved the way for her in the WNBA. And to wrap up hear appearance, Clark surprised Che with a parting gift: an autographed apron, which was a nod to one of his jokes about women’s sports.

By the way....Tonight (Monday) the WNBA Draft will return to an in-person format for the first time since 2016, hosted at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in New York. The event will be broadcast live on ESPN (7:30 PM ET).

… This year’s draft is particularly noteworthy due to the inclusion of fans at the venue and a promising draft class led by Caitlin Clark from the Iowa Hawkeyes. Clark, anticipated to be the first pick by the Indiana Fever, is the all-time leading scorer in college basketball. Her addition to the Fever, alongside 2023 Rookie of the Year Aliyah Boston, is expected to create a powerful duo.

… The 2024 WNBA season will kick off on May 14.
