_ In a heartwarming tale of reunion, a Maryland man’s lost dog reappeared after an astounding two-year absence — a thousand miles from her home. Luna had vanished from Tony Duncan’s home (in Mardela Springs) after chasing wild animals into the woods and failing to return.
… Despite the long absence, Duncan never gave up hope of reuniting with Luna. He was astounded to receive a call from LaBelle Animal Control in Florida, reporting that Luna had been found roaming a Walmart parking lot. A microchip scan positively identified her as Duncan’s missing dog.
… Duncan wasted no time and embarked on a 1,000-mile journey to retrieve Luna. In his own words, “It was a long distance, but it had nothing in comparison to the love that I have for my dog.”
