David Fisher, a professional jump roper, and his son Felix are being hailed as heroes after they saved a 19-year-old and his dog from drowning in an icy pond in Westfield, Indiana. The incident occurred last month when Felix heard cries for help and alerted his father. David, a three-time world record jump rope champion, grabbed his Double Dutch ropes and headed out onto the ice to assist. He slung the rope to the teenager, who grabbed one handle, and together they pulled him out of the icy water. The duo’s bravery was praised by Westfield Mayor Scott Willis, who called their actions “absolutely remarkable.”
