Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber took a brief respite from their long march of rewatching old Full House episodes for the IHeartRadio How Rude, Tanneritos! podcast. (They both suggested that season eight is gonna' get rough.) The latest gab session was instead devoted to taking questions from the fans — which led to a surprising story about a rock & roll legend.
A listener asked if Sweetin, who was between the ages of five and 13 during the original broadcast, and Barber, who was 11 to 19, ever got starstruck during production.
So starstruck? No. "But I was just struck," Sweetin remembered, kicking off a recollection.
"So we're standing next to him, in Joey's room, and he's playing the keyboard, as one does. Well, he does his big finish, with 'Whooooooo!'" Sweetin remembered.
"Very animated," Barber added, saluting the great showman.
"So he just threw his hand back and got me in the face!" Sweetin said, before adding, "Let me state: not intentional! Nor did he continue on. He stopped with 'I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry.' No teeth were knocked out, no noses were bloodied. But I still like to tell the story that I got backhanded by Little Richard."
