Last week I received a request from City Councilman Neil Lipsitz (fanatic of The Price Is Right) to attend the Beaufort City Council meeting on July 8. Not sure why but I was there and saw some very familiar faces in the audience.
Turns out the city wanted to honor my 48 years at 98.7 and they did. It was a very touching moment and I am sharing it as it appeared on the video of the city's Facebook page.
Remember that 98.7 The River officially is licensed to the City of Beaufort and when I first began on the radio, that's where our studios were located.
Thanks to Mayor Cromer, and the city councilmen for this honor.
